Lurnea and Bradbury Schools

This project involved construction and installation of three new lifts across two public schools.

The installation of new accessible compliant access ramps, upgrade and replacement of handrails and balustrades, installation of accessible bathroom, accessible kitchenette, and carpark alterations.

Both school sites provided tight, restricted access and the need to ensure construction activities would not disrupt daily school activities or learning times. Site managers worked closely with School principals to forecast construction activities, noise levels and the implications these would have upon each school. Construction methods were altered or programmes adjusted to allow construction activities to not clash with school requirements. Multiple crane lifts were utilized across both sites to overcome minimal access routes including cranage of plant, materials, construction equipment into the site, and spoil and demolition materials out of site areas.
