St George Greek Orthodox Church

The 50 year old, Heritage Listed building was treated for acoustic noise attenuation by means of installing new windows, doors, new air-conditioning system including special acoustically insulated ducting and housing. A new mezzanine level was created for both the housing of mechanical plant and as a new viewing area. Installation and painting of the high ceilings and installation of a completely new roof were undertaken.


The building was also strengthened against seismic events by the installation of several thousand wall tie bars between the inner and outer skins of the church's cavity walls. This project was delivered in a design and construct contract with the Federal Government.
